Please remember that all of our vintage dresses have been worn unless it is stated otherwise. All items are checked meticulously and we make every effort to itemise any flaws in the listings.

All items have been washed and/or cleaned and are ready-to-wear.

The following list refers to the terms that we will use when describing a garment

  • MINT Rare and perfect, probably never worn
  • NEAR MINT Light wear, this is most common in evening dresses
  • EXCELLENT Sound with some wear but no flaws
  • VERY GOOD Indicates minor flaws but otherwise very good quality
  • GOOD Wearable but showing some signs of deterioration

Sizes have changed through the eras so each dress will have accurate measurements based on the Size Guide (right) from the Vintage Fashion Guild.

COLOUR

We take extra care to photograph all items carefully, but please note that there may be some slight colour variation depending on the monitor that you are using. If you need further information on a particular item please contact lisa@margotandhesse.co.uk and we will do our upmost to help.

When we have sold an item on our website we will mark it as sold, if you are interested in that item please email us and we will keep your name on file should a similar item become available.
